The last day of July belonged to a run at Lake Lodenica in Piešťany where the finish time is not the point. PIEŠŤANSKÝ ADELI HOPE RUN 2026 — the biggest edition of the charity series whose proceeds help patients with neurological damage access intensive neurorehabilitation — drew hundreds of runners and families. And we were there, for two full days.

A run where performance isn't the point
The programme included 10 km and 5 km races, children's runs, a supporting programme and an evening concert by Lukáš Adamec. The heart of the event, though, was the ADELI Mile for families — a course where performance doesn't matter, but support, understanding and closeness do. The Mile connects healthy runners with people who face a much harder course every single day.

Day one: presentation at the ADELI Center
We arrived in Piešťany a day before the run. At the ADELI Center hotel we prepared an xRover presentation for the guests — from the all-terrain models to the electric drive — and our team built the complete setup for both the presentation and Saturday's race. Families could take the chairs for a spin and talk through what they need.

Day two: at the start line
Saturday was race day. And not just around us — members of our team lined up for the charity run themselves. When a runner and a family pushing a child in an all-terrain chair meet on the same course, the whole event suddenly takes on a different meaning.

Mertens: our German team in full swing
A large share of the guests came from Germany — the ADELI Center has long been popular with German families. Team Mertens, our representation responsible for the entire German market, looked after them on both days. They had their hands full and handled it brilliantly: advice, test rides and next steps, all in German and without missing a beat.
Thank you, Piešťany
Both days were great — a wonderful community of people who help, a well-organised race and plenty of conversations that matter. The ADELI HOPE RUN is becoming a tradition, and we want to be part of the next one too. Thank you to the ADELI Center for the invitation, and congratulations to everyone who lined up at the start.
